Project Description
Himalayan Health & Hearing is an Australian-based charity that provides and supports primary ear care, hearing rehabilitation and health programs in Nepal and the Himalayan region.
Their guiding principal is Compassion in Action.
They fund-raise in Australia and internationally, and 100% of donated funds go directly to projects due to the generosity of a single donor who covers all administrative costs.
In operation since 2010, they have provided services to over 7000 people in rural, remote and disadvantaged areas.
About the Project
The original brief was to design and build a simple website that would raise awareness of the program facilitate fundraising both in Australia and overseas.
This includes adding regular newsletter posts, setting up and sending mailchimp newsletters.
In 2015, the site was rebuilt using Avada theme to offer greater design freedom, and a fresher look, as well as an integrated shop, and integration with social media.
The site is hosted by Serversaurus – an Australian hosting company – who have generously supported the growth and development of the site.
